ClipMate v7.3.06 Download
The
native clipboard in Windows is great for cutting and pasting a single item at a
time, but if you want to move a series of items, or save items for later use,
then you need ClipMate!
Rather than working with one piece of clipboard data at a time, ClipMate
enhances the native clipboard functionality by remembering all items (both text
and graphic) that are copied to the clipboard and storing them in "collections"
for later pasting. With ClipMate as a Windows companion, users will never
accidentally lose a piece of clipboard data again. ClipMate's new relational
database can hold dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of clips - of all formats
including Text, Graphics, and HTML. And with ClipMate's new SQL-based search
engine, you'll be able to find your data, and the new Shortcut feature keeps
your most-frequently used clips right at your fingertips ClipMate Classic presents a toolbar with a drop-down list of clipboard entries.
Just pick one and it's back on the clipboard. Double-click on a clip, and it
will be pasted right where you were working.
ClipMate Explorer enables you to select, preview, edit, combine, and manage
clips. The example below shows ClipMate in "List" mode for reading text. Or you
can select "Thumbnails" mode for viewing and selecting images.
User-defined collections of data are shown as folders, using a directory tree.
New in version 7 are "virtual collections", which show all clips captured
"today", "this week", "this month", etc..
The ClipList shows you a listing of clips in the current collection
The Preview/Edit window is bristling with powerful tools to help you manage your
text data and view your graphic images or activate internet links.
With the Drag and Drop capability, you can drag a clip into any program that
understands OLE Drag and Drop for the type of data that you have (Text, Bitmap,
HTML, Rich Text Format). So you can, for example, drag a bitmap into PaintShop
Pro. Or drag some text into a form within IE or FireFox. You can even drag a
dozen Rich Text clips into Microsoft Word, and they'll all be dropped together,
with formatting intact.
Here we see the exclusive ClipBar, which integrates into the Windows TaskBar.
When you click the drop-down arrow, or press the WIN+V hotkey, ClipMate Classic
is summoned in "drop-down" mode, and positioned right over the ClipBar. Just
pick a clip and double-click or press ENTER, and the clip is pasted right back
where you were working. Or, use the new Drag and Drop function to drag a clip
and drop into the target program.
See the two icons to the left of the "clip window" in the taskbar? You can drag
the "splitter" wider to reveal other buttons. And YOU get to choose which
buttons are available. And the ClipBar will expand to two rows, if you use a
two-row taskbar. See ClipMate in action by watching this online "viewlet"
demonstration of basic cut & paste capability in ClipMate. It's as easy as
watching TV! (more viewlets)
ClipMate has powerful tools enabling users to retrieve, append, print, reformat,
and edit data. An exclusive PowerPaste(TM) feature puts ClipMate in "rapid fire"
mode, allowing quick pasting of a series of items into an application.
ClipMate's QuickPaste puts the most recently copied items at your fingertips.
Just summon ClipMate with a hotkey, select the item, and it is inserted right
where you were working.
Internet users will love the internet features in ClipMate, such as the ability
to view HTML data and re-visit the original web page that data was copied from.
If you are working with raw HTML tags, you can see what they would look like AS
HTML. And you can launch any URL to your default web browser, without having to
carve it out of the surrounding text. It also includes powerful editing and
re-formatting features, which are great for cleaning up poorly formatted Email
messages.
ClipMate will remember the "source url" of any data copied from IE, making it
easy to revisit the page - with just a click.
Speaking of editing, ClipMate supports drag 'n' drop editing, meaning that not
only can you edit data right within ClipMate, but now you have full drag 'n'
drop capability, along with local cut 'n' paste, line-break removal, case
conversion, and more. It has more editing features than many stand-alone text
editors!
ClipMate serves as a great screen capture tool, and now has support for
exporting captured images as bitmap or jpeg - perfect for sending screenshots by
Email. It can also automatically print screen shots, if you wish. ClipMate
features "area screen capture", allowing you to select a portion of the screen.
And it can work with dual-monitor systems too!
Do you work with a lot of structured data? If you have data that is separated by
commas, tabs, linefeeds, etc., then ClipMate's "Exploding PowerPaste" can make
short work of data entry. People who work with a lot of contact information
(lists of name, address, etc.) absolutely love this.
Still not sure what you'd use ClipMate for? Watch some of the online "viewlet"
demonstrations to see it in action. We also have the complete user's manual
online in HTML format (there's a downloadable/printable PDF too).
